Health conferences are a great place to exchange knowledge, meet experts and new researchers, establish networks and initiate policy dialogue on critical health issues.
The annual Public Health conferences at Health Services Academy, Islamabad are occasions where national and international experts showcase their research, discuss future directions, identify collaborations for future research and initiate policy level dialogue.
This year the public health conference is held after a gap of 2 years. In 2020 there was no conference, as we were facing an unprecedented pandemic of SARS-CoV-2. Although the pandemic is still ragging and millions of people are affected daily, the vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 gives hope of normalization to some extent.
The title of the 11th Public Health Conference on 23rd and 24th September 2021 is relevant to the current global pandemic situation. We envision a hearty discussion by the health experts on the role of contemporary medicine, vaccines, and health technologies in emerging health risks such as SARS-Cov-2.
Improving access to medicines, health technologies to save lives, and vaccines for all is a multidimensional challenge that requires comprehensive policies and strategies. A comprehensive health system approach to increase access to health products will enhance public confidence in the health system.
The conference is the largest gathering of public health professionals in Pakistan. We look forward to welcoming academicians, medical students, clinicians, public health professionals, health care specialists, health care workers, health economists, eminent researchers, scientists, health workers, policymakers, social workers, and other related professionals to share their knowledge and experiences in the field of Public Health.
In this blog space, we will update you about the emerging themes from the conference to initiate a wider debate. Your opinion pieces are also welcome. We will share them after approval from the conference committee.
