Background

I did M.B.B.S. from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. I did my Masters of Sciences in Public Health (M.S.P.H.) from Health Services Academy, Islamabad.
I joined Human resource for Health Management (HRHM) Department of Health Services Academy as a member of teaching faculty , Assistant Lecturer , in February, 2011.Before this I worked as an internee in Roll back Malaria program, WHO and as Research Associate with Research and Development Solution, Islamabad.
I got training in Quantitative and Qualitative Research, Environmental health, Foundation of Public Health, Anthropology, Reproductive Health, Child Health, Population Dynamics, Communicable and Non Communicable Diseases, Health policy, Health planning, Health system management and Hospital system management.
I am master trainer of Integrated Young Child Feeding (IYCF), Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), SPRINT Training on the Minimal Initial Service Package (MISP) for sexual and reproductive health in crises and implementation research. I worked as a facilitator for the Curriculum Development of “Nutrition” for the MSPH students at HSA.
I did short course of Facilitating Teaching and Learning from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh, UK.

Research

One of my research works was over an intervention, Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Bed Nets, for preventing malaria in rural females of Pakistan.  I also did research work on conditional cash transfer for voluntary counseling and testing of spouses of HIV positive men..

Publications

  1. My original research work as a full paper article has been accepted in international journal with the title of “Perception regarding the use of Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Bed Nets for Preventing Malaria among rural Females of Pakistan”
