Background

I am Instructor in Department of Epidemiology and biostatistics at the Health Services Academy (HSA), Islamabad .

I have a post graduate degree (MPH) in International Health and Development from the University of New South Wales , Sydney , Australia . Prior to this, I completed MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College . I received “Membership Australian Public Health Association” in August 2008.

Teaching

I primarily teach courses on Epidemiology, Health Promotion, Child Health and Communicable non-commiunicable disease.

Research

My main research interest is focused on areas such as HIV/AIDS with concentration on harm reduction strategies. I worked as a research associate in Harm Minimization project based at Kings Cross, Sydney. I was also involved in research project on Epidemiology and characterization of Hepatitis C and Drug abuse rehabilitation with Quaid-e-Azam University .

At Health Services Academy , I am research associate in FDA project for Maternal Child Health (MCH).
