Background
I am Instructor of Medical Anthropology & Qualitative Research Methods at Health Services Academy , Islamabad . I have M.Sc and M.Phil in Cultural Anthropology from Quaid-i-Azam University , Islamabad . In addition, I have Bachelors Degree in Economics from Bahauddin Zakariya University , Multan . Before joining Health Services Academy I worked in Population Welfare Department, Government of the Punjab as Tehsil Population Welfare Officer, with additional duties of Deputy District Population Welfare Officer (IEC), District Layyah.
Additionally, I graced with my presence in a variety of imperative and thought provoking conferences and seminars in Pakistan , India . This participation in the company of academic assembly helped me a lot to develop a deep insight about the diversity of cultures in the region.
Teaching
My main teaching is in Medical Anthropology and Qualitative Research Methods.
Research
My main research area of interest is Applied Medical Anthropology. I have worked in other areas such as Health Education, Reproductive and Primary Health Care.
