I would like to congratulate you for selecting the Master of Science in Public Health two or three-year programme (MSPH/EMSPH)

at the Health Services Academy , and am confident that you will benefit academically and professionally from this programme,

if admitted. We are proud to uphold the tradition of academic excellence at the HSA. Since its inception, the Academy has been

striving to train students in new public health paradigms. HSA launched its Master's in Public Health (MPH) programme in 1996

with a view to utilize and develop local expertise to train the future health managers of Pakistan . Up until now, 188 students have

completed their MPH degree. The Academy has been successful in achieving many of its institutional objectives. Subsequently,

the HSA has modified its MPH programme into a Master of Science in Public Health, programme (two and three year)

The MSPH/EMSPH programmes were introduced with the aim of keeping up with the pace of changes being introduced at the national,

regional and global levels. The challenge of the fast moving world has to be recognized and necessary changes made so that

we can respond to the needs of the day. It may be necessary to get the core knowledge in public health, but the necessary skills

and competencies to be acquired are also essential. Similarly, if research is not inbuilt, the programme may not be successful.

But it is even more essential that the application of knowledge be evident from the students.

The MSPH/EMSPH programmes have now been spread on teaching and practicum after successful completion of the course,

the students will be granted MSPH/EMSPH degree of Quaid-i-Azam University . This was necessary in order to achieve the aim

and goals of Health Services Academy , which aspires to become a centre of excellence in Public Health in the region, and also to gain

accreditation from the International Schools of Public Health.

We, at Health Services Academy , will ensure that teaching and training is conducted in an atmosphere of congeniality and tolerance. Availability of state-of-the-art equipment such as computers,
internet access, networking and video conferencing facilities, together with a highly professional and up-to-date library will be ensured.

The Academy has recently moved to its permanent campus in Chak Shahzad, surrounded by lush greenery and majestic mountains.

The beautiful view of the campus and its surroundings give it the right taste of an academic institution with values and quality.

Students will enjoy studying at the new campus, and it is expected that they will give it an air of competency, continue to

maintain quality educational standards, and meet the targets laid down for them.
