“Addiction, a menace for youth of Pakistan”
by Mrs. Crisitina von Sperling Afridi, Founder of KKAWF
Mrs. Cristina von Sperling Afridi delivered an interactive session on “Addiction, a menace for youth of Pakistan” at Health Services Academy on 30th March, 2017. She and her husband, Mr. Tariq Khan Afridi founded Karim Khan Afridi Welfare Foundation after their personal tragedy of the loss of their 19 year old son. The foundation’s goal is to make Pakistan drug-free by empowering the youth to protect themselves from succumbing to use of drugs through awareness campaigns and preventive measures. KKAWF stands for the cooperation of all organizations of Pakistan to work together to make this nation’s youth live clean. The session was well attended by the students and faculty of HSA. It was followed by interactive discussion on how to break the taboo on drug use and spread awareness to encourage youth to stay clean and live a healthy life.
